9 Best Ergonomic Gaming Chairs for Big Guys
Game Without Pain: 9 Best Ergonomic Gaming Chairs for Big Guys
Let’s be real: gaming is fun, but it can take a toll on our bodies if we don’t do it properly. I, for one, am very familiar with the consequences of gaming without comfort and ergonomics in mind. Before I had the means to get myself a proper gaming chair that would give me ample back support, I just used an old plastic chair that was already lying around in the house.
And while it served its purpose of giving me something to sit on while grinding my favorite MMOs and shooters, I knew it wasn’t healthy for my body as frequent back pains and muscle pain were something I’ve had to deal with, especially as someone who is big in regards to height. I just can’t help but feel squished and compressed.
That’s when I’ve decided to finally get a real, proper gaming chair that would serve as my throne for the coming years, and boy, do I not regret that decision. That is why in this article, I will be helping you find the 9 best gaming chairs for big guys that are comfy and ergonomic.
All of the gaming chairs below are something I have personally done my research on, bought, tested, and critiqued based on their respective pros, cons, comfort, and ergonomic features. Let’s dive right in then, shall we?
Why You Should Get a Gaming Chair as a Big Guy?
If you’re a gamer who loves being in front of their PC and console for extended periods of time, then you might want to consider getting a gaming chair that’s going to be good for your big frame and health.
Besides that, there are also other 3 main benefits of getting a gaming chair:
1. Better posture for your back
Gaming chairs encourage you to keep your posture in check due to their ergonomic design. It’s all too easy to get caught up in your games and forget about your sitting position, especially with cheap seats that lack the tools to support proper posture. If not addressed properly, this can lead to major health and back problems later in life which can be a problem for big and tall people who may not have enough support for their shoulders and heads with some cheaper gaming or office chairs.
2. Ergonomics means better comfort
I am no expert in ergonomics or anything related to that field, but one thing’s for sure: my old plastic chair definitely ain’t an ergonomic choice for gaming, and neither are cheap gaming chairs that are too small for your frame. Fortunately enough, gaming chairs made for big people like you and me are typically built with ergonomics in mind. This means that high-quality neck pillows, firm and soft shoulder support, next-level lumbar support, and more are present in these products – and these give rise to better comfort when gaming.
3. Superior design for your gaming set up
Last but not least are the aesthetics that come with getting a gaming chair. As gamers, we love expressing our creativity and taste in aesthetics with our battle station setups, and what better way to do that than by starting with getting a gaming chair?
3 Factors to Consider When Getting a Gaming Chair for a Big Guy
As gamers with bigger than average bodies, there are things you’d have to consider and think of when shopping for a gaming chair.
1. Ergonomics and Adjustability of the Gaming Chair
Before anything else, ergonomics and adjustability should be your main priority when shopping for a gaming chair. This is because these two aspects will dictate how your body will be supported throughout your gaming sessions. Ergonomics and ease of adjustability will go hand in hand in ensuring that your head, shoulder, neck, and back are properly supported.
Hence, it’s important to always see to it that the gaming chair you’re looking for has premium materials that will give you the most comfort and access to adjustability around. It’s also important to look at the measurements and weight limits of these gaming chairs to confirm that you will be well supported without any issues. Don’t worry—I made sure that every gaming chair on this list is well suited for big gamers like us.
2. Build and Durability of the Gaming Chair
A gaming chair’s build and durability are yet another factor to consider when shopping for one. As these gaming chairs will be your sole place to rest your butts and back for the foreseeable future, it is essential that you find one that is built around durable and long-lasting materials.
Although gaming chairs of this quality are expensive, they often last years and will provide you with durability and materials that are superior to your run-of-the-mill office chairs. Considering that your gaming chair will have to support your weight and height, it’s better to find one that is well built than to keep buying cheap ones that keep breaking on you.
3. Aesthetic and design of the Gaming Chair
Of course, we also have to talk about aesthetics as I have mentioned in one of the reasons why you should get a gaming chair. Although a gaming chair’s design and looks won’t yield to better comfort or ergonomics, I still recommend getting one that suits your taste and matches your setup since as I mentioned earlier, you will be using it to game for long hours anyway, so why not get something that has character and uniqueness on it?
Common misunderstandings regarding gaming chairs for big guys
1. As a big person, I can game on any gaming chair comfortably.
Of course not! That’s why I wrote this article in the first place: to give you a bird’s eye view of gaming chairs that are perfect for big body sizes and frames.
Although gaming chairs may seem universal and a “one-size-fits-all” kind of thing, they’re not. Just like your shoe or clothes, there are different sizes that accompany and suit different body builds and sizes. And since we’re talking about the context of big guys here, you would want a gaming chair that has excellent ergonomics and adjustability so you can tweak the headrest and more according to your body’s needs.
2. An expensive gaming chair is a luxury and not a necessity.
My answer to this question would be a yes… and no.
Yes because you don’t really need a $1000 or even a $1000 gaming chair to be comfortable and satisfied during your gaming sessions. You just need one that fits your price AND your body’s needs. It is definitely a luxury to be able to get expensive gaming chairs that have all the bells and whistles you can imagine in the name of comfort and flashiness.
On the other hand, I also believe that some expensive gaming chairs’ prices are justified because of how good their build, materials, comfort, and ergonomics are. One example of this would be one of the most expensive (and best) gaming chairs around that I am currently rocking, the Herman Miller x Logitech EMBODY GAMING CHAIR. It’s an $1800 gaming chair which is expensive for the majority of gamers and probably more expensive than most setups out there, but the quality and comfort it provides are close to none. Luxury? Yes. Worth? Also yes.
3. Gaming chairs are only for gaming.
While gaming chairs are marketed towards gamers, they can also be suitable for other activities such as working or watching TV. It’s important to consider how you will be using the chair, and choose one that can provide the necessary support and comfort for your needs. By purchasing a gaming chair, you are also essentially getting a chair is multi-functional in most aspects of your life.
The 9 Best Gaming Chairs for Big Guys
Let me now run you through my top picks for the 9 Best Gaming Chairs for Big Guys, with all the factors and features that I discussed earlier in mind.
1. The Best Bang for Buck Gaming Chair for Big Guys: Blue Whale Massage Gaming Chair
Best Bang for Buck:
Blue Whale Massage Gaming Chair
Blue Whale Massage Gaming Chair
- Made with premium materials like leather
- Perfect for big people that are 6 ft. tall and above
- Can swivel 360 degrees and recline
I’m starting this list strong with what I think is the absolute best price-to-comfort ratio in any gaming chair I have tested, and that is with the Blue Whale Massage Gaming Chair. Generic naming aside, it is anything but that.
When this gaming chair arrived at my doorstep, I immediately knew that it was already worth the money I paid for it because of how tall and comfy it looked. But then again, first looks aren’t everything, so I used the Blue Whale for pretty much 1 month alongside other gaming chairs on this list (that I’ll be tackling later) just to see how well it compares. Good news – I’m impressed!
Pros
- Made with premium materials like leather
- Perfect for big people that are 6 ft. tall and above
- Can swivel 360 degrees and recline
- Easy to adjust headrests and armrests
- Comfortable headrests and lumbar support
- Firm seat cushions
- Comes with a footrest
- Best bang for buck in the gaming chair market
Cons
- Boring and bland design
- Assembly instructions are difficult to understand
First, the seat pads are soft yet firm, meaning my butt didn’t feel trapped or squashed. It’s also got solid lumbar support with high-quality plush pillows that provide ample support for my lower back/spine.
As evident with its name, the lumbar support is also equipped with a massager that vibrates when connected via USB, which in all honestly sounded and felt like a gimmick to me, hence why I didn’t make much use of it. It does its job as a massager, but oftentimes, it just distracts me when I try to get into the zone when gaming.
Of course, as a tall guy myself, I heavily appreciate the inclusion of a headrest and neck pillow that is easily adjustable to my liking. Whenever I feel like giving my head or my neck support, I could just adjust the pillow accordingly and I’m good to go.
It’s also got other quirks and features like a 360-degree swivel, back angle and recline, and a footrest which came in handy whenever my legs felt numb or sore throughout the day.
All of this translates into comfy gaming and working experience that delivered great support to my head, neck, and back made with premium cushions, and materials like leather that I am certain will last for years on end for the average gamer.
If there’s anything to complain about the Blue Whale Massage Gaming Chair, it would be its rather boring and bland aesthetic, but if you’re a minimalist, then this gaming chair is a must-pickup for its price, ergonomics, and features.
Its assembly instructions were also a mess to understand because of translation issues and language barriers, but it only still took me about an hour or so to assemble the whole thing. All in all, the Blue Whale is how you game in comfort on a budget.
2. The Best High-End Gaming Chair for Big Guys: Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Series
Best High-End Gaming Chair:
Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Series
Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Series
- Premium carbon fibre and leather material
- Fully assembled under an hour
- Industry leading gaming chair brand
Of course, it won’t be a gaming chair list without Secretlab: perhaps the most popular and well-known manufacturer of gaming chairs in recent years. Although there are a lot of skeptics about Secretlab’s chairs and their prices, I can attest that their gaming chairs are second to none.
Pros
- Industry leading brand
- Everything is easy and smooth to adjust
- Premium carbon fibre and leather material
- Fully assembled under an hour
- Can be purchased along with add-ons, although not necessary
- Base model is fantastic on its own
- Sleek and understated aesthetic
- Top-notch comfort and ergonomics
- 5-year warranty and 49-day refund/return policy
Cons
- Can be unreasonably expensive for some
- Special edition variants are even more expensive
I’ve personally owned 2 Secretlab gaming chairs in the past, with this Titan 2022 Evo series being my 3rd one, and needless to say that my expectations for a gaming chair have yet been surpassed by Secretlab.
For starters, the Titan 2022 Evo series comes in all sizes (Small, Regular, and XL), meaning it’s perfect for basically anyone. Since we’re in the context of big guys here, I picked up the XL size with everything else in stock to get the base experience without any unnecessary add-ons.
I thought that this would be a mistake since other options like a soft weave fabric or a Napa leather would be absolutely necessary to get the full experience, but just for the base $569 model, I am already beyond impressed.
The headrest is easy to adjust but is also firm enough that it won’t wobble from any sudden movements. The material and finish of the chair itself are also made of premium leather with carbon accents that feel warm, soft, and cushiony.
The armrests are also fully adjustable according to your liking. Perhaps the most important feature that I liked about the Titan 2022 Evo is its adjustable lumbar support which has its own knob. This means that everyone has easy access and adjustability with not only the headrest and armrest but also lumbar support which is essential in making sure that your back is well supported.
Everything about this chair is just easy to adjust and feels smooth, compared to other chairs that feel like you’ll break them apart every time you try to adjust something. Its comfort is also not something to frown on as there are a handful of times where I was actually able to sleep while sitting on a Secretlab chair which should give you an idea of how comfy and cozy it is to sit on one of these.
As mentioned, there are add-ons and extras that you can get to further enhance your experience with the Titan 2022 Evo. Honestly though, they’re extras for a reason. You don’t need them at all to get the best experience as with even the base model, I am already left speechless with how comfortable, ergonomic, and premium this gaming chair is.
Whether you think the hefty price tag is worth the price is up to you, but considering that you’re going to be using your gaming chair for 6-8 hours a day every day, you might as well invest in something that will last you for years to come.
3. The Best Midrange Gaming Chair for Big Guys: Razer Iskur X Ergonomic Gaming Chair
Best Midrange Gaming Chair:
Razer Iskur X Ergonomic Gaming Chair
Razer Iskur X Ergonomic Gaming Chair
- Comfortable lumbar support
- Premium and durable PVC leather build
- Adjustable 2D armrests
If the Secretlab gaming chairs are way out of your budget, then you can consider the Razer Iskur X as the perfect alternative and competitor. This midrange gaming chair offers almost everything that the Titan 2022 Evo does, except two key components that I’ll tackle shortly.
Pros
- Comfortable lumbar support
- Premium and durable PVC leather build
- Adjustable 2D armrests
- Easy to assemble
- Reasonably priced for its offerings
Cons
- Color selection is lacking
- Gamer design which may be a turn-off to some
- No headrest
- Seat is not as firm as other gaming chairs
Let’s talk about my first impressions first: the Razer Iskur X’s design and aesthetic is strikingly “Razer” in every corner with green accents present all over the chair. If green isn’t your cup of tea (like I do), then you’re in bad luck. It’s not too big of a deal though as when I finally sat down and gave it a test drive, I was satisfied with the overall experience considering its price.
The seat felt soft and premium, although not as firm as the Titan’s. My butt didn’t feel suffocated or trapped, but it didn’t feel as comfy and free compared to other gaming chairs either. Note that this was with the XL model and not the standard model which was a bit worrying for me.
However, the rest of the chair was good enough for me. The armrests and backrests were equipped with high-quality PVC leather that didn’t feel sticky.
When it comes to its headrest, well, there is no headrest. That is one of the features and parts that the Razer Iskur X is lacking compared to its competitors which even some budget gaming chairs have. I’m not sure why Razer thought this would be a good idea, but it’s what they have decided to go with.
I do have to give credit to Razer though as my head didn’t really feel worse compared to a gaming chair that did have a headrest, but I do see this being a problem sooner or later, especially with taller gamers who use the headrest as support for their necks instead.
It also lacks the adjustable lumbar support that the Titan Evo 2022 has, but I suppose that’s fine since the majority of gaming chairs don’t have adjustable lumbar support either. Speaking of lumbar support, it was excellent and comfortable which makes the Iskur a great choice for long gaming sessions for folks who have lower back problems.
Overall, the Razer Iskur X is still an excellent choice and alternative to expensive Secretlab gaming chairs. It’s not beyond or equal to their quality, but it’s certainly still better than most office chairs and something I would recommend to gamers who have the budget for midrange gaming chairs.
4. The Best Budget Gaming Chair for Big Guys: Homall Gaming Chair
Best Budget Gaming Chair:
Homall Gaming Chair
Homall Gaming Chair
- One of the cheapest offerings in the market
- Comes with headrests, armrests, and lumbar support
- Steel frame and build
The Homall Gaming chair is for gamers who are really on a tight budget. If $100 is really all you can make do with, then this budget offering might just be the one for you.
Pros
- One of the cheapest offerings in the market
- Comes with headrests, armrests, and lumbar support
- Steel frame and build
- Synthetic leather
- Reasonable features for its price
Cons
- Can feel narrow and small for some
- Non-adjustable armrests
- Heavy gamer/racer aesthetic
- Uncomfortable over long hours of gaming
I only got to use the Homall Gaming Chair for around 1 week before I eventually had to return it, but during those 7 days, I could confidently say that it’s well worth its price as long as you adjust your expectations accordingly.
First and foremost, the Homall screams in gamer and racer aesthetic. It’s your typical racer chair which may be a huge turn-off to some gamers out there. Personally, I didn’t mind it as for $100, there isn’t really much room for expectations.
Going to its comfort and ergonomics, there is a headrest (looking at you Iskur X) that can be adjusted to your liking. I didn’t need to adjust mine often as I felt like it was placed perfectly for my head, but during the times that I did need to adjust the headrest, I struggled a bit.
It’s also got armrests which do their job well enough, but they’re not adjustable in any way which is a given for its price point. Lastly, there is a small pillow for lumbar support which felt okay and good enough for short gaming sessions. Going beyond 4 hours of gaming though is when I started to feel some aching in my lower back.
The Homall also feels a bit narrow and small compared to other gaming chairs on this list, although it should still be good enough to fit gamers with big body frames.
Overall, my verdict with the Homall Gaming Chair is that for its relatively low cost, you get what you pay for. There is no particular feature that makes it stand out as the absolute best gaming chair there is, but it’s good enough for short bursts of gaming here and there.
5. The Most Ergonomic High-End for Big Guys: Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody
Most Ergonomic High-End:
Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody
Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody
- The best gaming chair in the market as of the moment
- S grade mesh quality that feels cool to the touch
- Steel frame and body
- Easy to adjust armrests
- Deep recline
We’re now in the territorial waters of the absolute best of the best. The endgame and end-all be-all of gaming chairs: the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody. This absolute beast of a gaming chair is actually one of my daily drivers (along with the Titan 2022 Evo) and has been one of the best gaming chairs I have used by a long shot.
Pros
- The best gaming chair in the market as of the moment
- S grade mesh quality that feels cool to the touch
- Steel frame and body
- Easy to adjust armrests
- Deep recline
- Comfort and ergonomics are second to none
- Aesthetic is understated and minimalistic
- 12-year warranty
- Arrives at your doorstep assembled
Cons
- Price is out of reach for most gamers
- No headrest
Of course, the price tag is something that may give you a heart attack. Closing in at almost 2 grand, its asking price is probably more expensive than most of the average gamer’s setup.
However, it’s really hard to say that it’s not worth the price. For starters, its build, features, and comfort are almost 1:1 to the base Embody office chair. The Logitech branding acts as a nice touch to gamers who are fans of the brand and also wouldn’t want their $2K gaming chair to be mistaken as an office chair. But how good is its offering, really?
My first impressions were already way out of proportion for what I expected from a gaming chair. Just from its aesthetics and packaging, I could already tell that I was getting myself a gaming chair that is akin to that of a king’s throne. It comes assembled already which saves me the hassle of going through heaps of manuals and instructions which is also a nice touch.
When I finally sat down on the Herman Miller Embody, my mind was blown. To give you an idea of the comfort and ergonomics it offers, let’s just say that the Titan Evo 2022 doesn’t even come close, and that’s already a premium gaming chair too. The frame is all steel and high-quality metal, the cushion is an S-grade mesh material that feels cool to the touch, and the lumbar support is second to none. Its armrests are also adjustable as expected.
There was once a busy Monday where I had to sit down and do work (with gaming on the side) for 8 hours straight, and I am happy to report that for its price tag, I did not feel any sort of pain or aching in any part of my body.
Its mesh material gave room for my body to not feel warm or sweaty even in prolonged sessions, and its fantastic lumbar support made me forget that I was even sitting down in the first place. Of course, this was accompanied by 15-minute breaks every 2 hours, but it’s still mind blowing that only this gaming chair could really ever deliver the guarantee of comfort, ergonomics, and satisfaction regardless of how long you stay put in front of your PC.
It also comes with probably one of the longest warranties around for a gaming chair, coming in at 12 years. But then again, for almost 2 grand, it’s only supposed to deliver a satisfying and comfortable gaming experience.
If there was anything to complain about this beast of a gaming chair, it would be its luxurious price tag and the lack of headrest which is questionable for its price. But then again, it did not feel like it simply because of how premium the materials used already were. Simply the best of the best when it comes to gaming chairs and the like.
6. Best Sub $80 Gaming Chair for Big Guys: PC Gaming Chair Ergonomic Computer
Best Sub $80 Gaming Chair:
PC Gaming Chair Ergonomic Computer
PC Gaming Chair Ergonomic Computer
- Affordably priced
- Has 4 stages of recline
- Height and tilt adjustment with gas lift
Let’s take a step back to the other side of the spectrum and save ourselves from bankruptcy with these expensive gaming chairs and talk about a sub $80 gaming chair. For gamers who are really on a tight budget, the rather generically named PC Gaming Chair is here to save the day. Just don’t mind its name and it’s actually not as bad as one may think.
Pros
- Insanely cheap
- Has 4 stages of recline
- Height and tilt adjustment with gas lift
- Can fit people who have big body frames
Cons
- Lackluster comfort and ergonomics
- Leather materials feel warm and suffocating for the lower body
- No headrest and lumbar support
- Armrest is not adjustable
- Assembly can be a headache due to poorly translated manual
Because of how cheap it is, I bought this gaming chair with literally no expectations in mind just like the budget option I talked about earlier. When it arrived, it came in this shady box that was full of bubble wrap and styrofoam which is a good thing of course.
That meant that the gaming chair was intact and safe, or so I thought. One of the wheels was badly dented out of the box which I thought was the end of my review of this chair, but luckily enough, it was still usable and functioning when I finally assembled this gaming chair after an hour. I’m not sure if this dent or chip was from the manufacturer or during the delivery process, but I’ll give the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and say it was during delivery.
Packaging and delivery aside, how is it for gaming? Well, it’s about as you can expect from a sub $50 gaming chair. It’s made mostly out of plastic and the material used is cheap leather that feels warm and sticky.
After just 2 hours of gaming, my body finally called it quits and decided to take a rest because of its nonexistent lumbar support and headrest. The seat itself also felt somewhat loose and made me feel like it was just going to slide out anytime while gaming.
However, I will give this gaming chair credit since it does do its job well enough for its price. For $50, it does have reclining (although not as wide and deep as other gaming chairs), height and tilt adjustment, and gas lifting. Of course, it’s no comfort or ergonomic champ, but for those 2 hours, I was able to game without any problems until I felt my back forcing me to stand up for a few minutes.
With that being said, if you are really limited by your budget, the PC Gaming Chair is good enough for short bursts of gaming and work. If you can stretch your budget a little bit more, I highly recommend just going for the Homall Gaming Chair which is far superior in terms of comfort, ergonomics, and aesthetics.
7. The Best Office Gaming Chair for Big Guys: Dowinx Gaming Chair
Best Office Gaming Chair:
Dowinx Gaming Chair
Dowinx Gaming Chair
- Body is made entirely of premium steel and metal
- Equipped with high-grade fabric
- Great lumbar support
If you work at an office or in the business world and you want to own a chair that looks sleek yet built to last your long gaming durations. The Dowinx Gaming Chair would be right up your alley.
Pros
- Body is made entirely of premium steel and metal
- Equipped with high-grade fabric
- Excellent adjustability
- Great lumbar support
- Uncompromised ergonomics and comfort
- In-chair massage
- Perfect for office setups
Cons
- Slightly pricey
- Not fully corporate looking, but clean enough for an office setting
I’m not really a huge fan of office chairs myself, but I do have some friends who work from home and want to look professional on camera (but are gamers deep within). For this group of people, a chair that combines the best of both worlds work best.
I have only tried the Dowinx Gaming Chair for around a week or so, but I must say that it is the true embodiment of the saying “function over form”. It doesn’t look as stunning and flashy as other Secretlab or other gaming chairs for that matter, but it is surely as comfortable as they are.
As an office chair, its main priority is ergonomics and comfort which I am glad to say it delivers well. I used the Dowinx for a whole week without sitting on my daily drivers and not once did it cross my mind that I miss sitting on my Logitech Embody or Titan Evo 2022. This is thanks to its high-quality fabric that is on par with the Logitech Embody’s material that gave my body a cool feel and enough breathability.
It’s also got armrests that are easy to adjust both height-wise and vertical-wise. Its seat pads feel firm, tight, and spacious even for a big guy like me. There’s also solid lumbar support that can be adjusted to your liking. Needless to say that long sessions with this chair are nothing short of comfortable and ergonomic.
And after long hours of working or gaming, the chair even has a built in massager. But it only has 1 setting and is USB powered. You’d have to plug your chair in for the massager to work. But it’s still great to receive an in-chair massage while I took my breaks.
Another thing that I liked the most about the Dowinx are its quiet wheels. I know that wheels aren’t supposed to be a highlight for gaming chairs, but considering that some gamers work in offices, this feature is well appreciated.
8. The Best Budget Mesh Gaming Chair for Big Guys: RESPAWN RSP-205
The best budget mesh gaming chair: RESPAWN RSP-205
RESPAWN RSP-205
- Reasonably priced
- Mesh-type material is breathable and cool to the touch
- 4D armrests
Mesh-type gaming chairs don’t have to be expensive, and the RESPAWN RSP-205 is a testament to that. I initially thought that the RESPAWN RSP-205 was another one of those typical racer-type chairs that were unergonomic and all aesthetic, but I was surprised with how breathable and spacious the RSP-205 was.
Pros
- Reasonably priced
- Mesh-type material is breathable and cool to the touch
- 4D armrests
- Has headrests and lumbar pillow
- Good for 3-4 bursts of gaming
Cons
- Only reclines up to 130 degrees
- Aesthetic is outdated
- Lumbar pillow has room for improvement
I got to use the RSP-205 for around 2 weeks which was plenty enough of time to gauge its comfort and usability for day-to-day use, and overall I am satisfied with my experience. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely reasonable enough for its price.
For starters, it’s got a headrest which is already a plus it has over some of these expensive gaming chairs. It’s also got good enough lumbar support in the form of a soft, cushiony pillow that supported my back throughout my gaming sessions. Everything is also easy to adjust, especially its armrest which can be adjusted through all dimensions. Its highlight is of course its mesh material that feels cool and breathable no matter the situation.
When the sweat starts kicking in from grinding ranked games, the mesh material is sure to absorb most of it so that you wouldn’t be left dripping in your own liquid after those tilting ranked games.
Apart from those pros, everything else about the RSP-205 is average. Its color choices are only white, blue, and green, and its aesthetics is the aforementioned racing style which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It can recline, but only up to 130 degrees. Its lumbar support is again, soft and cushiony, but that really doesn’t translate into anything special as I still got some form of aching after 3-4 hours of straight gaming.
Overall though, it’s still a decent budget option, especially for gamers who hate leather seats and are more into the breathability of mesh-type chairs.
9. Best White Colored Gaming Chair for Big Guys: NOUHAUS ErgoTASK
Best White Colored Gaming Chair: NOUHAUS ErgoTASK
NOUHAUS ErgoTASK
- Clean white aesthetic
- Minimalist design
- Spacious even for big frames
- Excellent adjustability
Last but not least is the NOUHAUS ErgoTASK, my pick for the best white-themed gaming chair. As we all know, white-themed gaming setups are on the rise. They’re clean, sleek, and minimalist. That is why I picked the NOUHAUS ErgoTASK for this category as based on my experience and testing, it doesn’t only deliver clean aesthetics but also a comfortable and ergonomic experience.
Pros
- Clean white aesthetic
- Minimalist design
- Spacious even for big frames
- Excellent adjustability
- Easy-to-follow-assembly process
- Mesh material
- Comfortable headrests and lumbar support
- Seat also reclines with the body
Cons
- Expensive
- Lack of head pillow can be painful for neck
I got to use the NOUHAUS ErgoTASK for about a week or so, and during my time of use, I mostly used it for work, although there were instances that I also used it for gaming as this wouldn’t be a gaming chair review without the gaming part. So how does it stack up to the competition?
It’s quite decent, not Secretlab good, but good enough for an ergonomic and white-themed gaming chair. It’s got a solid headrest that’s integrated well into the seat which is accompanied by adjustable armrests and lumbar support.
The lumbar support is great, making prolonged gaming sessions a comfort with this one. Its material is also made out of mesh, meaning that you won’t be sweating on this chair that often compared to sticky leather types.
And of course, I can’t forget about its clean aesthetics that can just blend in with any type of setup. However, it’s best suited for white-themed setups since it’s white and gray.
It can also recline with its seat which is neat for short naps or just relaxing while watching a video or two on your PC. Finally, its assembly process was easy as 1 2 3 thanks to its well-made manual that carefully explains each step without being too vague or convoluted.
If you’re into clean and white-themed gaming chairs, the NOUHAUS ErgoTASK is a no-brainer.
So, which gaming chair should I get as a big guy?
That wraps up my list of 9 Best Gaming Chairs for Big Guys! Let me give you a brief look at my top picks, along with some alternatives for more budget-oriented gamers.
For my top pick, it would be of course the price to comfort champ, the Blue Whale Massage Gaming Chair. This is thanks to its premium materials and spacious seats that can accompany big frames and bodies. On top of that, it’s also equipped with soft, plushy, yet firm headrests and lumbar support for high-quality ergonomics and comfort.
There’s also the Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Series which is undoubtedly one of the most popular and well-respected lineups of gaming chairs in the market. With superior aesthetics, a plethora of adjustability, and high-grade materials, you can never go wrong with Secretlab chairs.
Finally, for gamers who are looking for something that’s more accessible for their wallets, the Homall Gaming Chair isn’t too bad of a choice. It’s got a design that is dated and won’t appeal to everyone, but the comfort, ergonomics, and space it provides for big guys are good enough for its price.
