The Complete OSRS Konar quo Maten Slayer Master Guide
Introduction to Konar quo Maten
Konar quo Maten is one of the more popular slayer masters who can be found in the Khalith settlement at the peak of Mount Karuulm.

To receive a Slayer task from her, the player must have a minimum combat level of 75.

How to get to Konar quo Maten (Location)
She is located at Mount Karuulm, north-west of Zeah’s Kebos Lowlands.

The fastest way to get to her is through the fairy network, using fairy code C-I-R, and then heading North.
You can use a skills necklace/farming cape teleport to the Farming guild, then head North.

Alternatively, you can use the Battlefront Teleport, which will teleport you to the ancient grave just outside the Battlefront in the Kebos Lowlands. Once there, head North-west.
No matter which method you choose to use, you need to ascend the mountain to reach the top, where you can finally locate her there.
Agility shortcut – If you have level 29 or 62 in agility, you can take the agility shortcut to get to the top faster. This saves you the time needed to run the entire trail.
Konar quo Maten Slayer Task Assignments
Completion of Slayer tasks assigned by Konar will grant the player a variety of points – it goes up if the player has completed the Kourend & Kebos Diary.

She gives the second highest slayer point reward per task (even though she is the third highest slayer master) – this is because her Slayer tasks require you to slay the monsters from a specific location.
Without the Kourend & Kebos Diary completed, each Slayer task grants the player an impressive 18 points. With the completed diary, it gets boosted to 20 per task – which is extraordinary.
The Kourend & Kebos Diary
Also known as the Zeah’s Diary, it contains a set of achievement diaries with tasks in the Great Kourend and Kebos Lowlands area.

Completing all the easy to elite tasks will grant players an impressive 20 Slayer points (instead of the usual 18) when completing Slayer tasks from Konar quo Maten.
Konar’s Slayer Task Points Table
Task Count | Normal Slayer Points | Slayer Points (With Diary) |
Every task | 18 | 20 |
Every 10th task | 90 | 100 |
Every 50th task | 270 | 300 |
Every 100th task | 450 | 500 |
Every 250th task | 630 | 700 |
Every 1000th task | 900 | 1000 |
The Specificity of Konar’s Slayer Tasks
When Konar assigns a Slayer Task to a player, it usually comes with a specific location.

For example, she may assign 200 Aberrant Spectres to be slayed in the Catacombs of Kourend. The task has to be carried out in the specific location, or it will not count towards the kill.

Konar’s Slayer Task Substitutions
Konar’s tasks will only count normal monsters for her tasks – she will not consider slayer substitutes.
For example, she will not count a Vorkath (A draconic boss-monster in Dragon Slayer II) kill for her blue dragons task.
However, monsters in the same area as the originally assigned monster will count towards the Slayer task.
For example, a Skotizo kill counts for a black demon task as both the Skotizo and Black demons are in the same Catacombs dungeon.

Konar’s Slayer Task Rewards
Completing Konar’s Slayer Tasks will grant you Slayer reward points. On top of that, you get a chance to obtain Brimstone keys from the slayer monsters through her assignments.
Although the drop chance of the keys are similar across all slayer task monsters, there are some slayer tasks which I find are easier to complete than the rest.
This is due to the aggression of the monsters, which makes AFK-ing easier when going about the task.

What are Brimstone Keys
A Brimstone key is obtained from killing monsters with an active Slayer task assigned by Konar quo Maten only.

This key can be used to open the Brimstone chest containing various quantities of resources, coins or armor pieces.
The average value of items received from a Brimstone chest is around 98,000 coins.
And when a player dies with a Brimstone key in the wilderness, it turns into 2 coins for the killer.
The symbol inscribed on the key is the Yin and yang symbol. Which in Chinese philosophy refers to the concept of dualism. It describes how 2 seemingly opposite forces complement each other in the natural world.

This references the very same philosophy of Khalith (the humanoid race) and their masters, Tasakaal (the golem race), which is to maintain the healthy balance of life and death.
Brimstone Chest & Rewards
Once you have a Brimstone key, you may proceed to unlock your rewards in the Brimstone chest that is found next to Konar quo Maten on Mount Karuulm.

Here are the possible loot that you can obtain, along with its drop chance and value.
Other than obtaining resources, there is also a rare possibility of getting a broken dragon hasta. There is also the slim possibility of obtaining pieces of the dusk mystic robe set – its color scheme takes inspiration from that of Mount Karuulm.

Brimstone Chest average value per Brimstone Key
The average value of the items obtained from the Brimstone chest is around 98,000 coins.

Are Konar’s Slayer tasks worth my time?
Yes! With the additional resources you get when you obtain a Brimstone key, along with the higher than usual rate of Slayer points, Konar’s Slayer tasks are well worth your time and effort.
That being said, I wish OSRS would update the drop list from the Brimstone chest to include more rare items.
