Enter the TP-Link Deco S4, a 3-pack Deco and Mesh system that has an insane 5500 sq ft. range, can support up to 1200 MBPS of speeds, has WiFi 5, and can connect up to 100 devices. Just like the X20, it’s excellent for big homes with lots of rooms and floors.

However, what makes it a lot cheaper than the X20 is its rather dated inclusion of WiFi 5 instead of 6. In all honesty though, the difference between WiFi 5 and 6 is very hard to tell especially if your main purpose for WiFi is just gaming.

I tested this Mesh System while I was gaming on my PS5 and on my PC, and I didn’t really notice any major difference or loss of speed compared to the X20. On Apex Legends, I was getting a nice and steady 35 ping (33 ping on the X20) and I got around 95% of my ISP’s advertised speeds on SpeedTest which makes the S4’s reliability great for its price.

However, I did notice that once I started streaming multiple 4K videos at once while gaming, my ping saw an increase and my download speeds started to tank, which did not happen on the X20. I’m not going to lie, I was also skeptical at first as this was the first time I have ever heard of a brand like Vraiwofo. However, upon reading reviews, I bit the bullet and took the risk. To my surprise though, it was actually decent and worked as intended when it arrived.

It wasn’t as cutting-edge as the TP-Links and Netgears of the market, but it did its job of having a massive range and providing that range with ample speed for gaming. It only supports up to 300 MBPS of speed and only connects via 2.4 GHz antennas, but it still got the job done.

I tested the Vraiwofo Wifi Extender while playing some ranked VALORANT games, and to my surprise, I didn’t lose any RR because of lag or hiccups. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows though. Typically, my ping around VALORANT floats around 5-10, with the worst being 20 which is still a very low figure.
